1Up Crew School Partnerships

Goal

Goal

1Up Crew wishes to create relationships with schools to collect data from students to find out what students know about hip hop dance in the bay area as well as promote our company classes, labs, sessions, and events. In return we would like to offer a performance, workshop, and/or demonstration battle.

What is 1Up Crew looking to gain from school partnerships?

What is 1Up Crew looking to gain from school partnerships?

1Up Crew’s main goal from school partnerships is to collect information from students and parents through surveys. We want to engage with a bigger audience targeting the youth to find out how much the youth is aware about hip hop culture. The hip hop experience within schools has been very limited due to lack of resources and lack of history being taught. We feel that targeting students early before college can increase visibility on hip hop culture and the dance scene in the Bay Area.

What do schools gain from the 1Up Crew partnership?

1Up Crew wants to provide schools with culture, knowledge, and history of hip hop dance as well as other street styles. We can provide entertainment for assemblies, rallies, and school showcases demonstrating choreography and freestyle within hip hop. In addition, we can give students access to information about local dance opportunities outside of school, such as: choreography classes, freestyle sessions, dance battles, and community dance events.

What kind of impact can 1Up Crew make?

Providing choreography classes, freestyle sessions, workshops, dance battles, and showcases, 1Up Crew believes we can create a community for all. This will give both students and adults the opportunity to grow, express themselves, and gain knowledge about hip hop dance culture in the Bay Area.
